Before coming to the Times in 2015, she was a student at the University of Florida studying journalism. She picked the major as a prerequisite for law school, but once she started covering crime for her college newspaper, she couldn’t get enough. When she is not sweating under deadline, she is singing with herrag-tag adult A Cappella group, Weird and Wonderful, or hanging out with her fat cat, Rose.
