Colonel (ret.) Peter Lambrichts

Colonel (ret.) Peter Lambrichts will discuss the April 2026 elections in Hungary, where Péter Magyar’s pro-European center-right party toppled Viktor Orban’s right-wing nationalist party after 16 years in power.

Colonel Lambrichts speaks frequently on military, historical, and political topics.

He served thirty five years as an officer (Armored Infantry) in the Royal Netherlands Army. Operational assignments saw him in Lebanon in 1982-83 and in Bosnia in 1997.

He was a member of the faculty at the Royal Military Academy.

Colonel Lambrichts served with the Military Intelligence and Security Service as the head of the Analysis and Assessment Division.

After attending the NATO Defence College in Rome he became the Netherlands Liaison Officer with the British Army General Staff.

Later, he became the Military Attaché at the Netherlands Embassy in London.

Colonel Lambrichts' last assignment was as Director of The Netherlands Defense College.
