SPWAC conference speaker: 2022

Nicolas Sabouret is full Professor at University Paris-Saclay, conducting his research at LISN, the interdisciplinary joint research institute for Digital Science between Université Paris-Saclay, CNRS, Inria and Centrale Supélec.
He is also head of the Graduate School of Computer Science.
Nicolas Sabouret is expert in human behavior modeling and simulation. His research combines Artificial Intelligence models with theories of human cognition and decision making from social science. His goal is to contribute to the construction of artificial agents that adopt human-like behaviors. His research is applied to various domains: multi-agent simulation of human activity to study and predict electrical consumption in households; development of conversational agents with social competencies for customer relationship, for social training or for health coaching; modeling and simulation of human factors in critical systems.
He is one of the main actor of the French Local Interest Group of the Association for Advancement of Affective Computing (AAAC) and he was the scientific coordinator of the TARDIS European project. His research on multi-agent simulation of human activity for electrical consumption is part of a long-term collaboration with the French electricity company EDF.
