Kobe Phillips

SPWAC conference speaker: 2024

Kobe aspirs to reimagine urban planning ecologically, by melding ecology, engineering, and design.
His work focuses on the design of bio-inclusive urban spaces which enhance co-species well-being and bolster climate responsive cityscapes. It all started when he read fascinating stories about human-honeybee symbiosis across the world. His aspirations are to travel the world to experience, understand, and build upon these curiosities which have fueled his ambition and sense of global community!
While pursuing his BS in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of South Florida, he has focused his time in competitive rowing, beekeeping, founding the Judy Genshaft Honors College Community Garden, and building the HAB-Lab (Habitat Lab) on campus.
As a UN Millenium Fellow and 2024 Marshall Finalist, he continus to advocate for environmental stewardship.
Whether its out on the water, or down in the dirt, you can always find him outside, creating, thinking, and enjoying nature!
